Job Summary
Manage on-site safety, operations, and installation for sewer, water, and storm drain projects, directing field personnel and coordinating with project managers and governing agencies. Oversee multiple job sites, plan weekly activities, schedule material deliveries, and control labor, material, and equipment costs to ensure on-time, on-budget completion. Conduct weekly safety meetings, complete daily reports, and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive service and quality work. Requires specific experience in underground wet utility construction, removal, installation, and repair of large diameter pipelines (12" and larger), including confined space and trench safety standards. Full-time, 10-hour shifts Monday to Friday with some weekends in Bryan, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Specific experience in underground utility construction
- Specific experience in removal, installation, and repair of underground wet utility pipelines and structures
- Experienced safety monitor with a full understanding of confined space and trench safety standards
- Able to read and understand plans and specs with accuracy
- Able to control labor, material, supply, and equipment cost to assure the job is completed on schedule and within budget
- Assure that only required amounts of sand, gravel and other materials are used on the job
- Plan and monitor the work so material is not wasted
- Each week, plan the next week's job activities in order to determine the number of crew members needed each day to complete the work
- Schedule deliveries of materials, supplies, and equipment in advance
- Accurately complete weekly timecards, daily reports, etc
- Able to cooperate and coordinate with other trades on the job site
- Conduct weekly safety meetings
- Have a current OSHA 30 certification
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Some travel
- 5 years (Preferred)
