Job Summary

Inspect and monitor utility construction projects for natural gas, electric, telecommunications, and municipal infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, approved plans, and applicable standards. Act as a third-party representative to protect public safety and infrastructure integrity while working independently across multiple locations daily. Interpret construction plans, specifications, and utility maps, utilizing mobile technology and electronic reporting systems like ArcGIS and GPS instruments for accurate field documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of utility safety practices, excavation standards, and damage prevention requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and utility maps.
  • Comfortable working independently in the field and navigating multiple locations daily.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience or knowledge in natural gas, electric, telecommunications, or municipal utility construction is preferred, but not required.
  • Proficient with mobile technology and electronic reporting systems such as ArcGIS -Survey123 and/or Field Maps is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with GPS instruments such as Trimble and/or Topcon preferred, but not required.
