Job Summary

Coordinate electric and communication construction projects between engineering stakeholders, subcontractors, and electrical pole owners to ensure safe, on-time, and budget-compliant completion. Review designs for accuracy, generate material reservations, and manage permits with state or municipal authorities. Track ongoing work status, resolve discrepancies in assignments, and prepare post-construction inspection reports. Distribute bid requests, monitor estimate approvals, and close out projects in work request software. Maintain vehicle and equipment through regular inspections and reporting. Travel 25% for on-site training, projects, or meetings. React safely to emergency situations and adhere to all safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • High-school diploma
  • Minimum of 3 years electric utility or telecommunications industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (or related technical field)
  • 1 year of industry experience (if holding a Bachelor's degree)
  • Professional certificates and licenses commensurate with project requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace
  • Proficiency in data entry
  • Strong communication skills including written and verbal
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to draft intelligible, professional, and accurate correspondence
  • Ability to effectively and clearly communicate and present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
  • Ability to perform moderately complex arithmetic computations
  • Ability to apply understanding to carry out detailed instructions
  • Ability to identify, address, and resolve problems involving multiple variables and varied situations
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report
  • Completion of Davey Driver's Safety Course
  • Ability to travel 25% for on-site job duty training, projects, or meetings
  • Ability to perform other related duties as assigned
  • Ability to follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrate proficiency in CAD/Outside Plant Engineering design software
  • Demonstrate proficiency in PLA software
  • Demonstrate proficiency in other work management software
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or related technical field from an accredited college or university
  • 5 years prior electric utility or telecommunications industry experience
  • Electric hazard identification capability
  • Electric equipment identification capability
  • Communication equipment identification capability
  • OSHA 1910.269 qualified training
