Job Summary
Utility Clerk at BJ’s Wholesale Club performing general maintenance and cleaning to uphold safety and sanitation standards. Responsibilities include gathering and returning carts/flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance, maintaining clean and orderly club areas (sales floor, offices, restrooms, outdoor grounds, and parking lot), restocking and ensuring carts are in good working order, performing routine cleaning tasks (mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, trash removal), operating maintenance equipment (floor scrubber, pallet jack), and supporting overall club operations with adherence to policy and safety standards. Emphasizes service excellence, teamwork, and adherence to GOLD club standards while maintaining a friendly, positive environment for members and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Must be over 18 to operate equipment
- Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required
- Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred
