Job Summary
Lead Excavator Operator with pipeline experience. Communicate professionally on site; follow foreman/superintendent directions; maintain equipment interior; attend training at HGC Academy; read grade stakes; adhere to OSHA Trenching and Shoring requirements; perform additional crew duties as needed; competitive pay based on experience and comprehensive benefits including medical, 401(k), ESOP, and paid leave. Located in Charlotte, NC area with standard and possible overtime; requires pre-employment drug and background screening and driving reliability; positioned for field supervision and collaboration with a construction crew.
Required Qualifications
- Must have experience operating an excavator for pipeline work
- Must be familiar with OSHA Trenching and Shoring requirements
- Must be able to read and understand grade stakes
- Must have two (2) years or more of industry-related experience
- Must be willing to work Monday through Friday 7AM-5:30PM, or other schedule as may be assigned
- Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates
- Must be able to understand site goals and direction
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and background screening
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Able to stand/sit for extended periods, able to lift 25-60 lbs occasionally
- Able to operate outdoors in all weather conditions
