Job Summary
Trim, prune, and remove trees and branches posing risks to power lines, poles, and utility infrastructure while conducting regular hazard inspections. Operate specialized equipment including chainsaws, aerial lifts, and cranes to safely manage vegetation near both overhead and underground lines in urban and rural environments. Train and supervise crew members on safety procedures, particularly around high-voltage electrical equipment, and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities for regulatory compliance. Work full-time shifts Monday through Friday with a $3,750 sign-on bonus after 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Utility Arborist (CUA or UA) or Utility Tree Trimmer (UTT), or ability to challenge exam
- Basic knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits and correct arboriculture techniques for trimming, pruning, repairing, maintaining and removing
- Valid Class 5 drivers' license with less than 6 demerits
- Current First Aid with CPR or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift, move and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis
- Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather and environmental conditions
- Must adhere to the Company's Drug and Alcohol policy
