Job Summary
Utility Arborist Apprentice at Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, Limited based in Nanaimo, BC with Vancouver Island addition. You will gain exposure to all aspects of arborist work by supporting Arborists in the field, maintaining a clean, safe, and organized site, and assisting with job-site duties. The role involves controlling road and sidewalk traffic as needed, performing equipment inspections, cutting and loading brush and wood, supplying tools, and assisting crew members. Required Qualifications
- Valid provincial driver’s license. Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle and air brake endorsement considered an asset.
- Previous arboriculture/horticulture experience.
- Utility line clearing experience an asset.
- Willingness to work towards becoming a certified Arborist.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Ability to work safely as part of a team and possess the willingness to learn and progress.
