Utility and HVAC Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary
Supervise the daily activities of an assigned maintenance crew and contractors while ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of HVAC and utility systems. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities, maintenance planning, scheduling, equipment reliability, and capital projects. Develop and improve preventive maintenance programs, coordinate inventory parts, and train employees on safe work practices. Schedule staff daily in Kronos Pay System, monitor equipment inspections, and manage small maintenance capital projects. Analyze key performance indicators to optimize asset performance and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Requires a Journeyman Red-seal HVAC or Electrician certificate, 3-5 years of supervisory experience, and proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Red-seal certificate in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
- Journeyman Red-seal Electrician
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Supervisory experience within an industrial setting
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices
- General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, building maintenance and utility equipment technologies and maintenance principles
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and manage multiple maintenance priorities and projects
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and safe work practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with employees, contractors, and other departments
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Journeyman Red-seal certificate in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) or Journeyman Red-seal Electrician is preferred
