Job Summary
Utility 17 role (2nd Shift) at ABB in Saint Louis, MO: operate and set up press-line equipment across die setting, slit line, auto press, punch press, and annealing operations; conduct quality inspections, verify blueprints and tags, and ensure safety procedures with PPE; requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for 8 hours/day, and occasional overtime; onsite manufacturing position reporting to Manufacturing Manager - NEMA.
Required Qualifications
- Understand and follow ABB safety policies and hazard communication requirements
- Wear PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, cut-resistant gloves, and safety sleeves when required
- Locate and verify Emergency Stops and light curtains function properly
- Verify Press Release Forms are supervisor-signed before operation
- Lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds; stand/walk for extended periods; operate pallet trucks, cranes, and material handling equipment
- Perform quality inspections and validate parts against blueprints; match parts to work orders; verify inventory tags and coil numbers
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and shipping labels; complete required documentation including Non-Con Red Tags
