Job Summary
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, including inspections of filters, thermostats, and ductwork; inspect and troubleshoot HVAC issues and coordinate with contractors for complex repairs or upgrades. Conduct basic electrical work (lighting, outlets, switches) and basic plumbing repairs (leaks, drains, restroom fixtures) with escalation to licensed professionals as needed. Complete cosmetic repairs (drywall, painting, carpentry) to maintain a professional facility. Respond to and resolve routine repair requests from employees. Manage exterior/facility maintenance including seasonal tasks (ice melt) and outdoor lighting/signage. Support the Utility Reliability Program with routine inspections of boilers, chillers, and air compressors; coordinate with third-party contractors to ensure compliance and provide feedback to the Reliability Department. Data analysis and recording readings into computer software. Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00am–3:30pm with some overtime; location Georgetown, SC. Requirements include HS diploma or equivalent, 2+ years in facilities maintenance, basic HVAC/plumbing/electrical knowledge, valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work preferred
- 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or related field
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general handyman skills
- Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude
- Able to read and interpret vendor and site manuals and drawings
- Valid Drivers License
