Job Summary
Trainee-level Utilities Technician learns to operate water purification plants, pumping stations, wastewater collection and treatment facilities; performs maintenance, runs tests, handles service calls, troubleshoots problems, and interacts with customers. Requires on-call shifts and holiday rotation; reports to Chief Operator; no supervisory responsibilities. Must have problem-solving, customer service, attention to detail, and communication skills; proficient with basic computer use and MS Office; valid Maryland driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three months related experience
- Or equivalent technical training, education or experience
- Valid Maryland Driver’s License and an acceptable motor vehicle record
