Utilities Supervisor - (Half Moon Cay - Bahamas)

Job Summary

Supervise Utility Technicians and oversee daily operations of power generation, reverse osmosis, wastewater, and fuel systems to ensure safe, reliable performance. Provide technical direction during system disruptions and emergency responses while reviewing performance data to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime. Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs, inspections, and repairs in alignment with OEM recommendations and regulatory standards. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, oversee sampling and documentation processes, and maintain accurate operational logs and system records. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize service disruptions and provide daily operational updates to leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Utility Management, or a related field
  • Equivalent experience to a Bachelor's Degree in Utility Management or a related field
  • Additional education in Hospitality or a related field
  • 3 - 5 years of experience working with large-scale utility systems
  • 3 - 5 years of experience working in industrial environments
  • Familiarity with energy management systems and software
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the safety protocols, concepts, processes, trends and terminology related to utility meter reading
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the safety protocols, concepts, processes, trends and terminology related to electrical systems
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the safety protocols, concepts, processes, trends and terminology related to fuel systems
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the safety protocols, concepts, processes, trends and terminology related to generator operation
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written)
  • Must be physically fit to lift heavy objects (50 lbs. or more)
  • Ability to work in confined spaces or awkward positions when servicing generators or meters
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, enduring prolonged periods of standing and walking in varying environmental conditions
  • Full range of motion in arms and legs
  • Full visual, verbal, and hearing abilities to give and receive instructions during emergencies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic cruise port environment
  • Work will require travel throughout the port facilities for operational oversight
  • Flexibility in work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Utility Management, or a related field preferred
  • Additional education in Hospitality or a related field is a plus
  • Technical certifications in electrical, mechanical, or utility-related disciplines (e.g., Generator Maintenance, RO, Electrical Systems) preferred
