Job Summary
Lead and supervise the planning, maintenance, and replacement of municipal wastewater collection and water distribution systems; manage asset management programs, training, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory agencies; coordinate with engineers, other City departments, and outside agencies; oversee utility technicians, foreman, analyst, and pipelayer; develop safety programs, and supervise project execution and capital construction activities.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or GED; bachelor's degree desired in construction management, civil engineering or related field or equivalent years of related experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience related to construction, repair, and maintenance of water distribution or wastewater collection or treatment systems; operation of related maintenance equipment.
- Distribution or Wastewater Collection Certifications or equivalent preferred; must show work towards acquiring certifications up to level four (D&C).
- Must demonstrate valid State motor vehicle operator’s license; must obtain CDL class A within 180 days.
