Job Summary
Utilities Manager responsible for overseeing daily operations and maintenance of steam generation, power distribution and wastewater treatment at the Oxnard mill, ensuring safety and environmental compliance, managing budgets and capital plans, analyzing utility usage for efficiency, coordinating maintenance and outages, leading a team of supervisors, engineers, and technicians, and contributing to long-term operational strategy and contingency planning.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year electrical, mechanical, chemical, or pulp & paper engineering degree
- Minimum 10 years of experience leading power and turbine generator operations
- Advanced knowledge of utility systems, including boilers, turbines, steam systems
- Proficient at managing outages, shutdowns, and start-ups of Cogeneration equipment
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and achieve desired results
- Ability to balance multiple priorities to meet short- and long-term objectives
- Outstanding communication skills, including ability to recognize contributions, make effective presentations, and build trust and respect
- Proficient in MS Office with working knowledge of analytical tools like Power BI
