Job Summary
Operate, maintain, and repair the boiler, compressed air, fresh/effluent water, and electrical systems while ensuring instrumentation integrity and calibrations. Supervise temporary employees and contractors on utilities work, guarantee appropriate staffing, and enforce company policies and regulations. Provide safety training, maintain accurate records, compile regulatory reports, and monitor steam quality. Ensure facility operations comply with Quality Systems and Operations manuals and Food Safety practices. Work in hot, cold, wet, or noisy plant environments requiring frequent walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Must have prior experience as a supervisor or foreman
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- five years of related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
Desired Qualifications
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of the HART communication/calibration protocol
- Knowledge of the DeviceNet system
