Job Summary
Oversee, design, and support ownership of primary plant HVACR and Utility systems to ensure biopharmaceutical manufacturing requirements are met. Apply engineering principles to resolve major equipment breakdowns, support CAPEX planning including scoping and vendor communication, and coordinate FAT, startup, and change requests to maintain GMP compliance. Develop technical knowledge on Utilities and HVAC equipment while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve system capacity and prioritize departmental projects. Maintain a safe work environment adhering to EHS safety procedures and regulatory standards. This role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering with 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field)
- 2-5 years of experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance
- Familiarity with EHS safety procedures
- Familiarity with Building Automation/HVAC systems
- Ability to perform technical analysis
- Ability to develop system-level design criteria
- Ability to provide operational guidance for industrial, preferably pharmaceutical, systems
- Ability to learn to read complex MEP/HVAC drawings
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate technical execution teams
- Demonstrated ability to guide professional engineering consultants
- Strong logical thinking skills
- Ability to solve complex problems
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, timelines, and demands in a fast-paced environment
- Strong oral/written communication skills
