Job Summary
Conduct general in-and-out tasks, routine sanitation, and small maintenance throughout the facility to support daily operations. Monitor and maintain operational equipment while adhering to strict safety, animal welfare, and biosecurity protocols. Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to ensure tasks are completed efficiently, including any additional assignments from management. This role requires lifting 20–40 lbs and pushing equipment up to 500 lbs in a fast-paced, physically active hatchery environment with varying temperatures. Schedule includes Wednesdays (5:00 AM – 1:00 PM), Fridays (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM), Saturdays (1:00 PM – 1:00 AM), and Sundays (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift 20–40 lbs consistently
- Ability to push equipment up to 500 lbs
- Basic math and writing skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently
- Willingness to learn and assist in multiple areas of the facility
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, physically active environment
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures and conditions typical of a hatchery setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and cleanliness
