Job Summary
On-site Utilities Foreman responsible for managing JHL crew, coordinating with the site and project leadership to maintain schedule, overseeing layout control, and enforcing safety and quality programs. Train and instruct craft personnel, ensure PPE and safety adherence, manage preplanning and daily task assignment, attend subcontractor meetings, and maintain productive relationships with subcontractors and the project team. Requires extensive experience with utility work, ability to read drawings, and proficiency with field equipment and Procore for daily reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience operating equipment (excavators, loaders, skid steers, etc.)
- Minimum 5 years experience laying utilities (storm, water, sanitary)
- Ability to read and understand project drawings and survey staking/layout
- Experience directing crew members to perform tasks safely and efficiently
- Proficiency with Procore software for daily reports, production tracking, and safety documentation
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- Certifications: OSHA 30 hour, rigging and signals, trench/shoring safety, confined space, and first aid (training provided)
- Strong communication and coordination with site superintendent and subcontractors
- Knowledge of locating procedures and scheduling inspections
