Job Summary
Utilities & Environmental Project Manager leading projects related to plant Utilities and WWPT from design to full implementation; audits manufacturing plants’ utility areas and WWTPs, inventories equipment with specifications, surveys plant utility & WWPT needs, evaluates installed systems capacity, develops drawings/scopes/budgets/timelines for submittals, sources vendors and negotiates quotations, leads projects, tracks costs and maintains budgets, coordinates project reviews and reporting to stakeholders, ensures cross-functional alignment with Quality, Food Safety, Planning, Operations, and Maintenance, participates in Factory Acceptance Tests, assists in developing annual capital budget, and travel may be required to support project needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering
- 5+ years’ experience working on capital expenditure projects as project manager
- Manufacturing Industry experience
- Heating, cooling & air systems expertise
- Optimization of above systems
- Energy saving project
- Carbon footprint reduction
- Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel (macros, pivot tables), AutoCAD (equipment & P&ID dwg)
- Regulatory knowledge (OSHA, DEQ, PSM, PHA)
- Strong attention to detail
- Auditing, investigation and process improvement
- Effective communication with internal and external customers
- Time management and prioritization
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to travel to plant and machine manufacturers' sites nationally and internationally
