Job Summary
Senior International Capability Development SME supporting USSOCOM J3-I to advance interoperability and strategic engagement across the global SOF community. Responsible for researching PN SOF capabilities and gaps, developing capability roadmaps, coordinating PN SOF participation in interoperability programs and events, drafting inputs for PN SOF integration into working groups and war-games, and ensuring secure, compliant information handling through Foreign Disclosure procedures. Works to align PN SOF acquisition programs with US security cooperation mechanisms, tracks interoperability progress, and supports pre-mission training and US exercises with international partners.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in international relations or related field
- Demonstrated experience: completion of a formal program of instruction from a DoW training organization covering US security cooperation basics
- Operational experience with international military forces (joint exercises or operations) or assignment to an international military organization or coordination center (e.g., Joint Staff J7, a Combatant Command staff)
- Ability to work with and through international SOF partners
- 15 years of combined military SOF and regional experience in joint/combined/interagency environments
- Graduate of Joint Professional Military Education course, Intermediate Development Course, or Senior Professional Military Education Course
- Experience with Foreign Disclosure and international partner information exchanges
