Job Summary
Execute the Lambda research program end-to-end, designing study plans, recruiting participants, and conducting in-context sessions to synthesize findings that inform product direction. Run mixed-methods research pairing qualitative primary research with quantitative signals to explain behavioral data and validate product decisions. Benchmark hardware research methods against industry standards, identify gaps, and manage a prioritized roadmap across Product, Growth, and Marketing to shift focus toward proactive decision support. Translate insights into decision-ready outputs for cross-functional stakeholders and track their impact on product or growth outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience researching hardware products or human-hardware interaction — consumer electronics, wearables, IoT, or comparable physical products — including in-context and ergonomic evaluation methods
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of user research studies from design through delivery
- Solid quantitative skillset: survey design, statistical analysis (significance testing, regression, driver analysis), and proficiency in SPSS, Python, or R
- Strong command of qualitative methods: in-depth interviews, contextual inquiry, diary studies, and usability testing
- Track record of influencing product or design decisions directly through research output
