Job Summary

Plan and deliver user research across the product and service lifecycle using a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods (interviews, surveys, usability testing, workshops, behavioural analysis) to understand researchers, institutions and strategic partners. Explore needs, motivations and pain points to inform product development and go-to-market. Generate actionable insights that support researcher acquisition, engagement and retention, and collaborate with product, commercial, marketing and design teams to embed user insight into decision-making. Conduct usability and concept testing to refine offerings before launch. Maintain a repository of research findings accessible across the organisation and champion user-centred thinking and best practices. Requirements include experience conducting user research for digital products or propositions; experience in B2B environments researching professional users and stakeholders; knowledge of methods (interviews, usability testing, surveys, synthesis); ability to translate findings into practical recommendations; strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills; experience with recruitment, testing, analysis and documentation tools; proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience conducting user research for digital products, services or propositions

  • Strong knowledge of a range of user research methods, including interviews, usability testing, survey design and synthesis techniques

  • Experience working within cross-functional teams, collaborating with product managers, designers, marketers or commercial stakeholders
  • Experience using research tools and platforms for recruitment, testing, analysis and documentation
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with the confidence to work in a fast-moving environment and manage multiple priorities
