Job Summary
Design and conduct studies across key product areas using ethnographic research, diary studies, surveys, and usability testing. Package insights into design assets and frameworks for product managers and designers. Collect, analyze, and present quantitative and qualitative data to generate actionable strategic and tactical recommendations. Partner with the data analytics team to provide context for insights and find compelling ways to communicate findings and advocate for users. Adapt research practices to meet team needs under tight timeframes while cultivating an empathetic culture. Lead research on projects requiring both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Passionate about user research
- Exceptional communicator
- Comfortable scaling work from identifying new product opportunities to running usability tests after products have launched
- Ability to process a wide variety of information including product data, customer and internal feedback to break down complex problems and frame thinking for the company
- Leadership within product areas working with leadership and product teams on strategy, roadmap and goals
- Ability to lead research experience on projects that require qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis
- Multi-year experience managing cross-functional projects that involve key stakeholders, product teams and cross-functional roles
- Experience working within an agile/lean product process
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong listening, analytical, and organizational skills
- Enthusiasm for a team-oriented, collaborative, highly energetic, fun and fast-paced environment
- The drive and energy to create a user-first company culture
- An undergraduate degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Sociology, Psychology, Computer Science, Cognitive Science or comparable UX research experience
- 5+ full years of experience working with product organizations, conducting qualitative and quantitative research studies, including usability tests, surveys, and user interviews
