Job Summary
Inspect incoming used vehicles for mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues, then diagnose concerns across engine, transmission, suspension, and brake systems. Perform approved repairs including oil changes, fluid services, tire replacements, and component substitutions while completing dealership inspection forms and documentation. Road test repaired vehicles to verify quality control and update repair status in the dealership management system. Order necessary parts and communicate recommendations with the Used Car Manager and Service Advisors to maintain production schedules and meet daily goals. Adhere to OSHA and EPA safety regulations while participating in ongoing technical training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Ability to pass background screening and drug testing in accordance with company policy
Desired Qualifications
- Automotive technical school education
- ASE Certifications
- Minimum 3 years of automotive repair experience
- Previous dealership experience
