Used Equipment Inspector

Inspect used equipment for potential trade, consignment or purchase; perform light mechanical work on used machines; show machines to prospective customers in a manner aligned with the company’s One Professional Team culture. Responsibilities include maintaining an orderly display area, photographing machines for marketing, coordinating inspection with sales and customers, assisting walk-in customers, starting and showing machines to prospective buyers, inspecting trades/consignments/fleet retirements/purchases, inspecting undercarriages, coordinating service and sales preparation, inspecting for customer damage on rental equipment and negotiating repairs, coordinating tire, glass, and battery work, making minor repairs, and other duties as assigned. Requires 5+ years as a heavy equipment technician on Caterpillar equipment, 1+ years administrative/clerical experience, 1+ years customer service experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; travel up to 25% and ability to stand, walk, lift up to 32 pounds; environment includes loud noise and both indoor/outdoor work.
