Job Summary
Evaluate the running condition of used earthmoving and agricultural equipment using CATUSED.COM and other resources to determine purchase or trade-in viability. Estimate repair costs, document inspections with photographs and condition reports, and review service repairs for accuracy and quality. Provide technical guidance to Sales Managers and Service Departments regarding products, attachments, and new Caterpillar features. Visit customer and purchaser sites within and outside your local territory for inspections and demonstrations while maintaining department vehicle and technical tools. Follow all safety policies and uphold core values of Integrity, Teamwork, Respect, Quality, and Service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5–7 years of related experience as an equipment technician
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to travel as required
