Job Summary
Used Engine & Generator Sales Representative responsible for national sales of used engines and generators. Research and identify used engines that meet customer needs and project requirements; evaluate engine condition, market demand, and resale value to identify profitable opportunities; build and maintain relationships with customers and industry contacts; proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities; travel as needed for training, to assist at other locations and/or to meet with customers. Eligible candidate should have proven outside sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals, knowledge of engines/generators or related equipment (HVAC, switchgear, UPS, etc.), strong interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivation, independence, and highly organized opportunity management. Compensation includes $100-150k first year guaranteed plus uncapped commissions; 401k match, benefits, PTO, and potential for growth within a long-standing, family-owned company. Required Qualifications
- Proven outside sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Knowledge of engines, generators or related equipment (HVAC, switchgear, ATS, UPS, etc.) and their applications across industries is strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust with customers
- Self-motivated, pro-active, results-driven, and comfortable working independently
- Highly organized with the ability to manage opportunities and follow through on deals
- Sales experience in the power generation industry preferred
