Job Summary
Hybrid Used Car Technician responsible for in-shop vehicle repairs and mobile service visits to customer locations. Perform repairs and maintenance per repair orders, diagnose vehicles in both shop and field settings, complete multi-point inspections, and provide labor/time estimates. Travel to customer homes/offices/locations to perform mobile repairs using a company van, assess whether work should be completed on-site or sublet, and maintain a clean, stocked mobile service setup. Communicate clearly with customers, service advisors, and parts departments to ensure timely updates and high standards of safety and reliability. Follow safety protocols and DOT/FMCSA regulations; stay current with factory updates and manufacturer training. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of automotive repair experience, and a valid driver’s license; ASE certifications or technical school education are preferred. This role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and adherence to safety while delivering quality vehicle care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of recent professional automotive repair experience
- Valid in-state driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must meet all DOT/FMCSA requirements, including passing a physical and medical certification
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
- English proficiency required; Spanish is a plus
