Job Summary
Forecast sales goals and expenses monthly and annually, then prepare and administer the department's operating forecast and budget. Appraise, purchase, recondition, and display the used vehicle inventory while maintaining stock levels and monitoring customer preferences. Direct and schedule all department employees, assist salespeople in setting realistic monthly goals, and help close deals. Enforce the 45-day turn policy and establish wholesaling activities by developing outside sources for buying and selling units. Communicate daily with the new-vehicle sales manager regarding inventory needs and attend managers meetings. Handle customer complaints immediately and keep abreast of auto auction activity and prices.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- State Sales License
- Valid Driver's License
- Manufacturer Product Training and Certification

- Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance through KPA
- Visual acuity to perform activities such as: driving a vehicle, preparing and emailing customer quotes; selecting color configurations; viewing a computer terminal and expansive reading
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Ability to type on a computer
- Ability to talk or hear, both in person and by telephone
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry office supplies up to 20 pounds
- Ability to enter and exit cars and trucks varying in size
- Ability to operate/drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions
