Used Car Buyer at Steven Automotive seeks a motivated, high-energy individual to source and purchase pre-owned vehicles through auctions, trade-ins, private sellers, and other channels; evaluate vehicle condition, market demand, and resale potential; conduct test drives and vehicle inspections; review vehicle history reports (e.g., CARFAX); negotiate pricing with sellers and wholesalers; stay informed of market trends to influence inventory decisions; maintain records on purchases, titles, appraisals, and purchase agreements; coordinate transportation for purchased vehicles; collaborate with sales and service teams to ensure vehicles meet standards; build relationships with auction houses, wholesalers, and private sellers; ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to purchasing, documentation, and titling; monitor inventory turnover for optimal stock levels. Qualifications include no automotive experience required, enthusiastic attitude, excellent communication, entrepreneurial spirit, high school diploma or equivalent, clean driving record and valid driver’s license, and sales experience not required.
