Job Summary
Execute the used car buying process by prospecting, appraising, and presenting offers to current vehicle owners across multiple sources. Call, follow up, and schedule appointments for customers to appraise and purchase their vehicles, utilizing CRM for lead generation. Interface with owners from scheduled appointments and service drives to approach, greet, and engage them for purchase offers. Appraise used vehicles by asking questions, taking photos, and inputting data into Sonic's automated inventory management system. Work with Sales Managers to build and propose offers, then introduce guests to the sales department to sell new vehicles after their existing purchase. Review monthly goals with management to optimize time and plans.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in automotive purchasing, acquisitions, and appraisals
- Strong ability to engage with customers effectively, build rapport, and address their needs and concerns professionally
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a persuasive and articulate demeanor over the phone
- Ability to persistently pursue leads, maintaining a positive attitude throughout
- Comfortable using CRM software and productivity tools to manage leads and track progress
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be authorized to work in the USA
- Must be willing to undergo pre-employment compliance requirements: Drug testing, background check, MVR
