Job Summary
As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician at Walmart, you will perform routine maintenance to uphold safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores and facilities under supervision of the General Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment), following work orders, responding to emergencies, inspecting and testing facilities to diagnose issues, and completing required safety and training. Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
- Can move up and down ladders frequently
- Comfortable working at heights frequently
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Able to work in various temperatures
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR
- Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in plumbing or electrical or material handling equipment or related trade
