Job Summary
Lead large-scale projects and provide technical leadership in Java-based platforms within Walmart Global Tech's Marketplace Engineering. Responsibilities include translating requirements into technical solutions, designing and maintaining APIs/services, building and deploying cloud-scale microservices, implementing data-driven architectures, and ensuring code quality through unit tests. Requires experience with Java, Node.js, React UI/UX, REST/GraphQL, microservices, messaging (Kafka/ActiveMQ), cloud environments, CI/CD, testing tools (Selenium, Gatling), databases (relational and NoSQL), and agile practices. Strong collaboration across cross-functional teams and ability to influence engineering practices and data-backed decisions are essential. Preferred include experience with scalable architectures, design patterns, and accessibility considerations. Primary location: Sunnyvale, CA, USA.
Required Qualifications
- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
- Option 2: 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
