Job Summary
Software Engineer III responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions across Walmart Global Tech’s Supply Chain Transportation Management Platform. You will work to meet business and technical requirements with a focus on CI/CD, secure and efficient code, high availability, and performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, implement features, and own the end-to-end delivery of software enhancements in a hybrid, in-office/remote environment. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently are essential, along with Agile/Scrum experience and a passion for continuous learning and staying current with technology trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 4+ years of professional software development experience
- 2+ years of full-stack development experience
- Frontend: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML5, CSS3
- Backend: Strong experience with Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, or Python
- Databases: Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
- APIs: Experience designing and consuming RESTful services
- Cloud: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP acceptable)
- Version Control: Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Testing: Experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
