Job Summary
Software Engineer III - Full Stack at Walmart responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable web applications that power Walmart's digital ecosystem. You will build responsive UIs with React and TypeScript, implement backend services with Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, or Python (FastAPI), design RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints, and work within a microservices architecture using Docker and Kubernetes. You will integrate cloud databases (Azure Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), implement event-driven patterns (Kafka, Azure Service Bus), and leverage data warehouses like BigQuery for analytics. Emphasis on SOLID and DRY coding, comprehensive testing (Jest, Playwright, JUnit), code reviews, accessibility WCAG 2.2 AA compliance, security best practices, and collaboration with product managers, UX designers, and data scientists. Leadership duties include mentoring juniors, participating in agile ceremonies, and contributing to documentation. Deployment involves CI/CD with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins, and deploying to Azure (AKS, App Services, Functions) with monitoring via Splunk, Grafana, or Application Insights. On-call rotations and a robust benefits package are included.
Required Qualifications
- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
- Option 2: 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
