Job Summary
Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures that support business analytics and reporting needs. Responsibilities include integrating multiple internal and external data sources, developing and optimizing data models (logical and physical designs), ensuring data quality and accessibility, implementing data governance to comply with regulatory and ethical standards, and writing, testing, and deploying code using SQL and other languages to support data processing. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions leveraging cloud technologies and strong engineering standards to drive analytics and data strategy across Walmart’s enterprise.
Required Qualifications
- Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related field
- Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related field
- Option 3: Master’s degree in Computer Science and 1 year’s experience in software engineering or related field
- 2 years' experience in data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence, or business analytics
