Job Summary
Overnight Stocking Coach leads and develops store teams through training and feedback, drives store operations including inventory flow, merchandising, and financial performance, ensures high-quality customer experience, implements action plans to address deficiencies, and mentors hourly associates. Requires supervisory experience in retail, focus on team development, adherence to store policies, and ability to manage budgets, shrink, and staffing. Candidates should have strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to coach associates, execute company initiatives, and maintain a culture of belonging. The role emphasizes delivering results through data-informed decisions, inventory accuracy, and customer service excellence in a Walmart store environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
- Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
- For facilities that sell firearms, a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required.
- For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, a current state issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
