Job Summary
Oversees store operations and drives financial performance for the designated store area, including budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses; leads and develops hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and setting clear expectations while fostering a culture of belonging. Responsible for merchandising, inventory flow, customer service initiatives, and achieving sales and profit goals through data-driven decision making. Ensures compliance with company policies and ethics, supports Open Door policy, and models Walmart values. Leads change efforts, develops action plans to address deficiencies, and communicates business objectives to teams. Plays a critical role in talent development, supervision of associates, and collaboration with stakeholders to meet customer and business needs while upholding the company’s standards and benefits programs.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience
- For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required
- Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
- Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports with performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing (preferred)
