Job Summary
Area Manager - Maintenance at Walmart oversees maintenance operations for the facility, supervising maintenance staff and leaders, coordinating staffing and scheduling, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include managing maintenance of warehouse equipment (material handling, pneumatic systems, electrical, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration), ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA, Hazardous Waste, DOT, and other regulations, monitoring productivity, analyzing business reports, training associates on policies, and driving recruitment, coaching, and development of team members. The role emphasizes collaboration, integrity, cost control, and delivering results in alignment with Walmart values, including regional budgeting, asset utilization, and continuous improvement. The position offers a salary range of $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 plus performance bonuses and comprehensive benefits. Primary location is Fort Pierce, FL; candidate will operate within a regional scope as part of Walmart Logistics maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or Technical School Certification in an Industrial related field and 1 year related maintenance department supervisory experience
- OR Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Industrial, or related field
- OR 1 year supervisory experience in a maintenance related environment supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees
- OR 2 year Walmart Logistics maintenance experience including six months experience leading a work or project team (e.g. risk control)
- OR 2 years supervisory experience in an industrial related environment; supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees with 1 year experience in the maintenance field.
