Job Summary
Support capital engineering projects by managing execution, controlling costs, and ensuring delivery within budget and schedule. Develop sanction documents, including cost estimates, and guide projects from concept through closure while adhering to New Project Excellence guidelines. Evaluate competing engineering proposals based on technology, cost, and schedule, then hand off completed projects to operations and maintenance with focus on process safety and equipment reliability. Manage multiple assigned projects simultaneously and contribute to the long-term capital plan. Assist in training site personnel on project management excellence. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's in chemical or mechanical engineering with 8-15 years of manufacturing plant experience. Base salary is $151,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in chemical engineering or mechanical engineering
- 8-15 years of experience in a manufacturing plant
- Experience managing multiple capital/maintenance projects with a total value of up to $10MM
- Experience managing Engineering and Construction companies in project scope, schedule, and construction phases of project development and execution
- Experience evaluating competing engineering proposals in terms of technology, cost, and schedule
- General knowledge of mechanical, civil, and electrical codes and standards
