Job Summary
Guest Experience Team member for the 2026 USRowing Youth National Championships (volunteer). Serve as the initial point of contact for guests at the venue, provide directions, answer questions, and ensure a welcoming experience. Manage guest check-in areas and keep facilities organized and presentable. Guide families and spectators to viewing zones, vendor areas, and activation spaces. Assist with venue logistics and act as a liaison between guests and event staff, escalating issues to supervisors when needed. Work closely with USRowing staff and other volunteers to create a positive experience for attendees. This hands-on opportunity is ideal for students interested in event management and hospitality, offering hands-on experience, networking opportunities, and potential course credit.
Required Qualifications
- Current college student
- Pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Sports Management, or related field (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer-first mindset
- Ability to adapt in fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proactive and friendly attitude
- Reliable transportation to and from the event; travel expenses not provided
- Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods and working outdoors in various weather conditions
