Job Summary

Serve as the medical scientific lead for population-based healthcare decision makers to facilitate scientific exchange on disease state management and the clinical/economic value of Sanofi General Medicines BU products. Develop and implement customized medical account plans to address medical needs and opportunities for scientific partnerships, while identifying and expanding key contacts with applicable national, regional, and local medical, payer, and advocacy associations. Lead efforts in developing insights into strategy, assist in supporting scientific advisory boards and symposia, and work cross-functionally with US Market Access and field commercial teams to coordinate engagement of customers' medical and scientific needs. Collect and share customer insights and evidence gaps to inform product portfolio development and customer engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced degree
  • At least 3 years in Managed Care (e.g., medical/clinical executive within managed healthcare organization) or similar Outcomes experience within the pharmaceutical industry (e.g., Outcome Liaison, HEOR/HEVA/RWE)
  • 1-2 years (Outcome Liaison)
  • At least 5 years in clinical and/or pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Understanding and knowledge of current US healthcare system, healthcare delivery, and biotechnology drug/device development process
  • Expert Knowledge of HEOR disciplines
  • Basic understanding of biostatistics and evidence-based medicine (i.e. research methodology, developing clinical protocols, clinical reports, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and work effectively in a constantly changing environment in both an independent and collaborative manner
  • Demonstrates a customer service mindset and the ability to gain insights and identify customer needs and opportunities
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen skills
  • Demonstrated expert ability and knowledge to effectively communicate medical, scientific, health economic, and business information to internal and external stakeholders

Desired Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree - MD, PharmD, or PhD (clinical) strongly preferred
  • MBA or additional degree in health economics, health outcomes, public health or health policy is a plus
  • Displayed proficiency in therapeutic fields that align to the product portfolio supported strongly preferred (e.g., Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease, Biosurgery)
  • Proficient in leveraging these insights into actionable strategy for the team
