Set up laboratory equipment and materials before classes, preparing chemicals, specimens, and experiment kits according to teacher instructions. Maintain inventory of chemicals and consumable supplies, monitor stock levels, receive deliveries, and keep records up to date. Ensure all equipment functions properly by cleaning, calibrating, and performing basic troubleshooting, while reporting damaged items. Keep labs, prep rooms, and storage areas clean and organized, disposing of waste appropriately and organizing chemicals by compatibility. Follow safety procedures, including proper storage, labeling, and chemical disposal, while maintaining Safety Data Sheets. Support laboratory software and set up microscopes and data-collection devices. Collaborate with teachers to revise and optimize protocols for the Chemistry and Biology courses.
