Job Summary

US IRTS Sales Engineer at ScioTeq is a highly technical, customer-focused leadership role at the intersection of engineering and strategic solution selling. The position acts as the primary technical interface between customers and internal teams during strategic pursuits and active programs, translating complex technical concepts into clear customer value propositions, defining system-level solutions involving hardware, software, networking, display management, cybersecurity, and open architectures, and mentoring junior sales engineers. The role requires collaborating with Product Management and Engineering to identify product gaps and roadmap opportunities, supporting government and defense-related proposals, and traveling domestically. Strong communication skills, the ability to engage with customer engineering teams and executive leadership, and experience in aerospace/defense domains are essential. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience are required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace & Defense technical sales, Product management or customer-facing engineering roles
  • Strong technical understanding of Avionics systems, Mission displays, Open architectures (MOSA/SOSA), Ruggedized electronics
  • Aerospace certification environments
  • Experience supporting complex technical proposals and customer pursuits
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both engineering teams and executive leadership
  • Strong presentation, writing, and technical communication skills
  • Ability to travel domestically as required
