Job Summary
Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction that promotes active learning and deep understanding while analyzing student progress data to inform interventions and flexible groupings. Provide clear, timely feedback, integrate technology to personalize learning, and uphold the Student Code of Conduct. Serve as an advisor by mentoring students, facilitating daily advisory lessons, and leading a C Day club. Support learning beyond the classroom through weekly office hours, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with special education staff. Engage in instructional coaching cycles, professional development, and data-driven meetings. Communicate proactively with families and participate in school events, conferences, and IEP meetings. Demonstrate a commitment to postsecondary success and continuous improvement within a diverse secondary learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field from an accredited institution
- Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate content-area endorsement
- Ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated professionalism, including punctuality, preparedness, accountability, follow-through, and effective collaboration
- Ability to consistently meet daily and weekly deadlines that support high-quality instruction and team success
- Strong work ethic, reflective mindset, and commitment to continuous improvement
Desired Qualifications
- ESL endorsement
- Comfort using educational technology tools, with curiosity and willingness to learn about emerging tools, including AI
