Job Summary
Associate in US Equity Research covering Metals & Mining responsible for building and maintaining Excel-based financial models, performing valuation work, analyzing earnings releases and regulatory filings, drafting research notes and sector pieces, and communicating insights to internal/external clients. The role involves forecasting company financials, shaping industry views through data and events, preparing presentations, and delivering timely client requests while collaborating with Sales & Trading teams. Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing skills, coupled with modeling and forecasting experience, are required; proficiency in Excel is essential, with preferred CFA progress and some coding能力 (e.g., VBA, Python); background in Geology or Mining Engineering is a plus. Location is New York, NY, with on-site participation.
Required Qualifications
- FINRA licenses Series 86 and Series 87
- Two to three years of experience in equity research and/or investment banking
- Advanced level of proficiency in Excel
- Ability to multi-task and collaborate within a team environment as well as work independently
- High level of organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a proven ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Passion for the markets and interest in Metals & Mining sector
