Job Summary
Equity analyst role covering Technology sector with primary focus on value-oriented approaches and secondary coverage across related sectors. Responsibilities include building financial models with emphasis on balance sheet quality and free cash flow durability, generating investment ideas with differentiated theses, tracking earnings calls and investor days, developing proprietary channel checks, and flagging earnings quality concerns. Requires strong fundamental equity research experience, experience covering Technology from a value perspective, and proven ability to produce actionable ideas. Proficiency in Bloomberg, FactSet, or equivalents is expected. Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred. Location is San Francisco, CA with on-site work; compensation target is $150k-$200k base with potential bonuses; benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, and retirement plan.
Required Qualifications
- Fundamental equity research experience with a demonstrated value orientation
- Direct Technology sector coverage experience from a value perspective
- Track record of generating actionable, differentiated investment ideas
- Strong financial modeling skills; proficiency in Bloomberg, FactSet, or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CFA preferred)
