Job Summary
Develop and implement the expansion of GHD's Water team in the Southeast region by leading strategic business planning, budgeting, and growth strategies for the practice. Manage a robust sales pipeline to win new work with key clients, state and local governments, and business partners while overseeing the region's geography business managers. Lead project teams across the Southeast to ensure delivery excellence, providing senior review of reports and engineering studies for major water and wastewater projects. Serve as a primary relationship manager for external clients, communicating their needs to internal resources and collaborating with global subject matter experts to deliver full range capabilities. Coach and mentor the water team to strengthen technical capabilities while building new relationships and depth of resources. Work three days a week in-office in Atlanta, Bowie, Chantilly, Columbia, Miami, Orlando, or Tampa, with a salary range of $133,500 to $267,000 based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Minimum of 15 to 20 years of relevant experience with solid technical knowledge and skills across the water industry
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining a Water Practice at a metro or regional level
- Relationships with key southeast clients, state and local government, and business partners are essential

- Experience and familiarity with Metro area (Atlanta, Tampa, Miami, and Washington, DC) agency standards and protocols is preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Desired areas of expertise include Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment and Recycling, Linear Conveyance for both Water and Wastewater, Water Resources Planning, and/or Stormwater Management / Flood Mitigation services
- Collaborative Delivery experience with major Design Builders and Design Build Institute of America registration a plus
- Demonstrated portfolio of State, Municipal, and agency water projects
- Experience and familiarity with Metro area (Atlanta, Tampa, Miami, and Washington, DC) agency standards and protocols is preferred
- Strong leader, with the ability to collaborate with project staff and maintain a cohesive team environment
- Ability to coach and mentor water team to technically strengthen the capabilities
