US Corporates - Director, Technology Media & Telecom - New York

Director, Technology Media & Telecom (TMT) – lead coverage analyst in North American Corporates at Fitch Ratings. Role responsibilities include performing analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing credit quality of TMT companies, developing and maintaining comprehensive financial models, conducting meetings with industry management teams, presenting analysis to internal credit rating committees, communicating rating rationales to external audiences (institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and media) in meetings, conference calls, press releases and written research reports, writing timely and effective research on topical issues, and participating in the evaluation of other credits within Corporates and related credit groups. The role may include managerial responsibilities and mentoring junior team members. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree minimum (MBA or other advanced degree a plus), CFA/CPA or CFA candidate preferred, 5-10 years of relevant experience with some TMT coverage knowledge, capital markets/credit analysis experience a plus, proficiency in Excel and Word, and strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills. Base pay for New York roles is between $150,000 and $175,000, with potential for commission and other incentives.
