Job Summary
Conduct analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing the credit quality of companies in the Energy and Natural Resources sectors while maintaining comprehensive financial models. Participate alongside senior analysts in meetings with industry management teams and help prepare presentations for internal credit rating committees. Evaluate other credits within Corporates and related credit groups to support the rating process. This role requires 8+ years of relevant experience, especially in the Natural Resources sector, and involves working in a team-oriented environment at a global rating agency with offices in New York, Chicago, or Toronto.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Relevant experience 8+ years
- Natural Resources sectors coverage or knowledge
Desired Qualifications
- CFA/CPA or CFA candidate preferred
- Capital markets and/or credit analysis experience a plus
- has a keen interest in Natural Resources industries
- has solid financial statement analysis skills
- wants to deepen their exposure to and understanding of the debt capital markets
- has a strong pattern of leadership and the ability to proactively and successfully interact with various stakeholders, both within and outside of the organization
